    Seems more resonable to buy a newer generation than a older normally.
    buying a 6950 here cost more than the 7800xt atm
    as some noted, black friday week might offer some good deals

    6950 XT had some discounts, got one quite cheap, and now the 7800 XT does start a bit below that. If anything I expect the 6000 series to see discounts and Black Friday / Cyber Monday options. Never saw 7000 in promos yet :D

    What stands out to me is how the 6590x is using only ~25watts more while providing a lot more perf in most titles - apart from RT.

    Resident Evil part really shows this well.

      Underclock and undervolt the 7800 XT and you’ll have pretty much the same performance at much less power draw than the 6950 XT.

        6950XT can undervolt quite well. Not sure this argument works here.

        As a matter a fact all RDNA2 card can uv if you spend time with them. Its the same 7NM TSMC process across all of them. (Not 7800xt, just rdna2).
