I was looking on fb market place the other day. Guy wanted 450$ for a 64 GB used base. No extra SD card or cords or docks, anything. I dunno what kinda crack he was smoking lmao.
I’m keeping my 512 still. I’m not stupid enough to think it’ll be a collector’s item but it has a strange sort of personal sentimental value. It stopped me being a spec snob lol
I’m keeping mine because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it and I’m not paying $600 for an OLED screen when I’m perfectly happy with the device I already have.
This is not a condemnation of anyone who is getting an OLED version, it’s just not worth it to me personally, and I have plenty of other things that the money would be better spent on (especially with the holidays right around the corner).
Yeah… the OLED version existing doesn’t change how I enjoy the deck I already have. Unless something unfortunate happens to my deck, I’ll just wait for the SD2 for a proper upgrade.
Nothing wrong with having a secondary “rough service” device for events and times where your new and shiny isn’t the best idea.
Not a 1:1 analogy but I keep an old Note 9 for use when I got to the beach a few times a year because I don’t want to damage whatever flagship phone I have.
I’ll just want it to move quickly without too much FB marketplace bullshit. Easy to just ignore anyone that doesn’t immediately agree to meet in person at the local PD with cash in the next day or so if you know you’re offering a good deal.
It’s everywhere. FB marketplace sellers want their Decks sold for the cost of a brand new one and then some. I saw one guy trying to the 256gb model for $700 just because he installed Windows on it.
This reminds me of people who modify vehicles and then try to sell them for huge price increases…bruh it’s got a full exhaust and a tune… no receipts. Just trust me bro…

If anything it makes a great living room pc. Toss it in a dock and grab a few controllers and your good to play tons of stuff.
