I was planning on getting the 64gb during the autumn sale, but then Valve dropped this bomb on us. Does anyone think there is any chance the new OLEDs will go on a sale price during the autumn or winter sales? Otherwise I’m just gonna get one as soon as available.

    They did just permanently reduce the price of the LCD ones. I thiiink the 64 is $50 cheaper nowm if you want one id grab them now. Otherwise you miiight need to settle with an oled which is 512gb minimum, OR wait for refurbished are in stock/buy second hand.

    But there is a chance maybe? Wont know til it happens. Depends if theres any left by then. Good luck!

    I very, very highly doubt it. Valve knows that the hype for these ones is through the roof, so it doesn’t make good business sense to put them on sale to build even more hype.

    It literally just came out lol, maybe next year’s autumn sale but there’s literally zero reason for Valve to put the Deck OLED on sale rn

    I dont like to give my 2 cents, but Valve has surprised us time and time again especially with the steam deck… I already placed my order and I do think putting the new systems on sale a week after they come out would be a huge “F you” to day one purchasers but anything can happen in the world of buisness. And to be honest what’s stopping them from going on sale during the winter sales event, I initially was going to wait until the spring to get mine because i’m confident they’ll be on sale then! They want these things out the door, the Steam deck 2 is literally 2 years away at this point!
