Q2 gang here but I feel your disappointment, you would have better off waiting. But honestly, there is always a better version to wait. The Steam Deck 2, then Steam Deck 2 OLED, then SD3 etc. I mean, have a good time with your deck, it’s still a good console and wait and see.
That being said, it’s easy for me to say, the limited version is not available in my country. I don’t need it, but want it so bad lol

I try to think about all the previous handheld PCs I skipped to get the deck. I was looking really hard at the original aya neo and I think they had a second model before the steam deck launched as well. I was really on the fence but ended up passing.
I’ve also had my steam deck for about a year now and been able to really enjoy it. I finished red dead reception 2 on a handheld while I was at work, so that was special.
I thought the centerpieces were tacky in that game.
