I’m torn now with the price drop whether to go for the 64GB deck or the new PlayStation portal to use as my remote play device.

Does anyone have any experience and can provide a review of how the performance is in the deck for this? I mainly want to use remote play to play FC24 online and maybe a bit of COD however it’s the latency / input lag that worries me.

Using chiaki4deck on my Deck, I haven’t had any issues at all streaming from the PS5. My PS5 is on ethernet though and I have a strong WiFi setup, which helps keep latency down really low.

I would use one of your computers and set up chiaki4deckon there and also try using the remote play app and compare the performance to see how things are before making your decision. That will be the best indicator of how the portal and steamdeck will perform for remote play using their respective apps.
