Hi! I’m pretty sold on the s23 as an upgrade for my S10, but my primary hesitation is the internal memory. My S10 has 128gb and after a few years I had to add an external memory card. I’m hoping to keep my s23 for just as long, but I’m worried the 128gb won’t be enough. With all that being said, I also don’t feel like spending the extra money and losing out on color options to upgrade to the 256gb. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Because they removed the micro SD capabilities I’d go bigger. Especially if you keep your phone a few years before upgrading again.

Removing SD card is the lamest thing Samsung has ever done. It’s basically a price increase at the point of purchase because you now need to buy 256 GB… Even then you could still run out and not have the option to add more.

Obviously you basically already explained why you should probably get the 256 GB version but if I were you I would probably wait until after January if you can… But on the resale market to save more money

128gb is a strict No no if you’re planning to use it for longer time. My phone is 128gb base variant and is already at 65-70% of the total storage but I plan to trade in with next year release

Considering you can’t add an sd card and as you said you need that extra memory so I would suggest you to invest in 256 gb variant

Thanks for the help everyone! I’m just cheap and was trying to rationalize the 128gb 😅 I’m ordering the 256gb now! So excited for the upgrade and the new camera!

The obvious extra storage aside, I’m pretty sure the hardware is better on the 256GB model. I think it uses UFS 4.0 compared to 3.1
