I would get an iPhone 13 mini on the resale market if I were you … You can find them for like 400 bucks or less

My mom has that phone and the reason she has an upgraded is because it still works fine. That’s usually what triggers most people to update… You would need to be compelled to upgrade because you’re not getting what you need out of your current device.
Although I was tempted to grab her the iPhone SE 2022 now that it’s on sale at Walmart for so cheap.
OP: on the issue of cloud storage I think Apple should provide more value… For customers that’s been thousands on hardware, maybe give us a bump on cloud storage.
Critics: So you think Apple should be a charity and go out of business?
Most people don’t upgrade a phone every year. There are probably way more people rocking an iPhone 8 right now than an iPhone 15…
Might just need a new SIM card
I haven’t personally used it but the chipset in there is not very efficient compared to the s23. I would imagine the battery life is probably 20% worse approximately
I’ve never tried it but I have heard a lot of anecdotes from people that said they had issues trying to get it to work…
S23 is probably worth paying more but The s24 comes out in a couple months. Wait until then and get the s23 on the resale market for a nice savings
I don’t think you can if it’s a local carrier or something it’s probably built into the firmware… You would have to flash a new firmware
Removing SD card is the lamest thing Samsung has ever done. It’s basically a price increase at the point of purchase because you now need to buy 256 GB… Even then you could still run out and not have the option to add more.
Obviously you basically already explained why you should probably get the 256 GB version but if I were you I would probably wait until after January if you can… But on the resale market to save more money
I would wait until after the s24 ultra comes out and then buy one on the resale market for like $700 800 bucks. The price will start to drop when the newer phone is out.
This was the last Samsung flying ship to have the SD card and the charger in the box. 865 was also a very thermally efficient chip unlike 888 or 8g1.
Definitely a nice phone to have in your arsenal and it’ll still get security patches for a few years. I think it’s stuck on Android 13 but that’s fine.
