You will eventually get used to it. I dropped my S23 Ultra. And there’s a small crack on the screen. It’s been 2 weeks and I don’t even notice it. But randomly I remember it’s there.

accept it for what it is and try to focus on other features of your phone and how great it is. my A54 got a nasty dent on the plastic frame before i could find a case for it and i was really sad for a couple weeks but now i have pretty much forgotten about it. i love my phone, you should love yours.

Unlucky :( I’ve been using mine without a case and it’s pristine. I’m still looking for one.

I’ve got 2 little scratches somewhere on the top right corner of my S22 Ultra screen. They’re more like dents. They’re visible while the screen is black or off. I got them on the second day of having the phone. I feel sad, but since they’re hardly visible while the screen is on I forget about it for most of the time.

Live and learn. At least it was an A-series, not an S-series. People here breaking their S23 Ultra screens, only later realising, “shoulda been more careful”. The temper glass/case stuff, it’s just to protect from absolutely arbitrary bumps. But you didn’t lose too much. At least not as bad as people spending 1000$+ on an S-series and then breaking it next day.

Next time you’ll learn to get a screen protector and case straight away when you get the phone. I thought this is just common sense and practice.

Ah, common sense, a fascinating concept indeed. Take, for example, the act of making a Reddit post about a mere scratch on a brand new phone, all while being consumed by an overwhelming flood of tears.

Picture, a dimly lit room, adorned with posters of pop culture icons and shelves filled with dusty books. The air hangs heavy with the scent of despair, mingling with the faint aroma of fast-food remnants. In the center of this melancholic setting, we find our protagonist, a young soul, clutching a scratched phone with trembling hands.

“Dear fellow Redditors, I have come before you today, burdened by the weight of a scratched phone. Do not mistake this for a mere inconvenience, for it is a testament to the fragility of our mortal existence.” Surely, the gods themselves weep at such a calamity."

      😂

I’m like you, it annoys me. I dropped my fold 4 two times the first week I had it, both times it hit the same corner. I stopped noticing the scratches after a month, now I don’t even see it. I refuse to use cases though.

I haven’t dropped my phone in a year, not once. What are you all doing, juggling with your phone and 2 whiskey glasses? 😂

Lesson learned, next time don’t wait until you scratch your screen to put on a protector.

You don’t, it will just pass on its own with time. You will eventually get to the point that you don’t care if your phone gets scratched because its old, it usually happens in the 2 years mark for me. You simply accelerated this process, and kickstarted your “don’t give a damn” phase much sooner. Better luck on your next phone, and just be more careful. I only dropped a phone once in 15 years.
