I wonder if Nvidia will be sticking with Micron’s 22.4 Gbps GDDR6X or moving up to the faster 24 Gbps GDDR6 vanilla from Samsung?
Wasn’t samsung memory used on the 3k series and the very reason it was so darn hot? Fast memory but they had no choice but to use samsung and we dealt with the heat problems because of it.

It’s been over a year since Samsung announced 24 Gbps GDDR6 and I still haven’t seen it on any card, for some reason.
I think it should be much cooler than 6X, despite the higher bandwidth, since the prefetch isn’t doubled?

G6X is more efficient clock for clock over G6.
