I think the new OLED Deck is really cool. I think this Deck HD is really cool too. I want to live in a world where both can exist and we don’t need to pick sides.

I actually ordered a DeckHD back in September.
They finally dispatched it, but I didn’t get it yesterday, so it will be re-delivered today and I’ll pick it up.
I also bought a heat gun just for installation, so I’m all set.
I’m going to install it today.
I’ve watched a lot of reviews on Youtube, so I’m aware of the problems with the DeckHD, but it’s the resolution of the display that made me decide to buy it.
Some games don’t display well at 720p, so I think it’s good to get rid of that.
Personally, I have an AOKZOE A1/A1 Pro, so games that require high specs are played on this one, so I don’t have any problems.
I also bought a Lenovo Legion GO on eBay the other day (since it’s not yet released in Japan), so I’m thinking of comparing all three when it arrives.

Good to know, I contained myself and didn’t buy the oled because I’ve been waiting on my deck hd screen to arrive.
How are the colors? Does 800p look blurry or pixelated when scaled back from 1200p?

cool shell. Not a fan of needing to go to BIOS every time the deck updates though. Deck HD is a hard pass for me personally.
Putting aside the free choice of paying to downgrading one’s battery life, a pixel art game seems to be the least effective choice to demonstrate a higher resolution display.
But I guess the games where this would really shine (RDR2, Cyberpunk, Wreckfest, etc.) already have their hands full to be “playable” at 800p.
I think it’s time to clean your sticks, mate:)

Dude, I’m upvoting this just because the day before the OLED got announced, I was about to pull the trigger on this same shell. Was wondering how it would look if I kept the original buttons and trackpads. This looks sick as fuck. I’ve been wanting this shell since before I even got my Deck. I too had the kiwi GBC growing up.
Now that my 512GB is going to be a spare Deck, I’m going to do this. That way I won’t be too upset if I fuck something up.
I just want a bigger screen.
OLED is bigger by a bit. So is the Lenovo Legion Go.
