Alright, here’s my use case for an example. Always gamed on the Playstation, got tired of always playing on the big screen alone in my den and have to be in the same spot. Two years ago I got into Emulation since not many good games were being released for PS5 that I was interested in. I ended up with an Odin and played a number of games and liked being able to play anywhere, however the screen was small and the unit felt cramped, I wanted something a little bigger and then I stumbled on Steamdeck. When I got the steamdeck I was impressed by the size, comfort, and freedom to play anywhere. I also began playing more than before with indie games and other newer games on the SD. Played older titles I love like Skyrim, command and conquer, etc etc. I like playing in the livingroom with family there, or playing in my car while waiting for my kids to get out from practice, all kinds of reasons to play. The Steamdeck changed my gaming and got me playing more.

Then Starfield came out. While I can play on the SD it isn’t the best experience, I wanted a little more power and some improved screen sets and just got the Legion Go. I like the GO and the Steamdeck has been sitting a bit while I play Starfield on the move.

Fear not though the Steamdeck still has a place and I play emulation and older games on it and still find myself using the SD even with the Go around, both can live in the same space for my needs. Now with the announcement of the Steamdeck OLED I will be getting one and probably giving my OG deck to my son for his gaming and share the Steam Library.

Hope this helps but TLDR It got me back into gaming and I feel free to play anywhere. It has made gaming better and I never feel like I wasted money
