I’ve had that problem a few times with both the official steam deck dock & the 3rd party 1 less so with the 3rd party 1 for better or worse. I’m not very tech savvy myself but the problem solved itself for me by simply either restarting the deck & unplugging & plugging back in the deck to the dock.
My only problems with the deck in general is I’d have liked the built in screen to be a 16:9 aspect ratio not 16:10 as most games are a 16:9 not 16:10 & even if it didn’t start out as a OLED I would’ve prefered them to have much smaller bezels but those a small gripes not game breaking. For the aspect ratio problem I now just stretch the image as I hate seeing black bars & avoid them like the plague.
Had that problem myself just deleted the duplicate & continued using it without problems though I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks for the reply but I had already mentioned going to developer mode when I asked for the screenshot as all I can find in developer mode that can help me at the moment is allow external display refresh control. I can’t find the enable unified frame limit management option I scrolled all the way down both in the display settings menu & in the developer settings looked carefully & still the option to enable unified frame limit management isn’t showing up.
Would you mind screenshoting that as I tried to find that in settings->display & I scrolled to the bottom like you said & couldn’t find it. I’m on the main/preview channel I tried rebooting my deck & can’t find the option to disable it whether docked or not & the only way I’m currrently able to get the option to control refresh rate back is through developer options to coontrol external display refresh rate.
Just watching videos on a Web browser aside from that Maybe checking email otherwise I use it for gaming nothing else as that’s all I use a PC for.
