Consoleport add on for WoW, limited on controls though so maybe stick to a hunter or made, lol.

I believe you can run it natively or with proton or something, there’s a few guides out there. I tried it on the Ally and it worked well.

  • PTM7950, phase change stuff.

It’s kind of a pain to use vs simple paste, but my god (a pain because it’s very thin between two sheets of plastic, like a screen protector). Dude on Etsy sells them in perfectly cut pieces for the deck, or find a legit place to buy a bigger sheet. Pop it in the fridge for an hour or so, have a pair of fine tweezers ready after cutting to size.

Full cpu/gpu core load on my deck it stays around or below 80 now. At most the CPU or GPU may climb to 81C if one is getting hit harder (like 9-10w+), but generally 70-78C and fan stays below 6000. Before, temps would sit in the low to mid 80s, with fan 6300 or higher.

Lenovo uses it on their Legions too. I can go full 40-50w+ CPU / 130-140w GPU and temps hit ~85/70 respectively (5800H / 3070 Legion 5 Pro).

  • Teamgroup is fine. I’ve used their T-Force ram in multiple PC builds, and have had that exact card in my deck since July with zero issues. R/W are as advertised. Will it last as long as a Sandisk? Who knows…but in my anecdotal experience of decades with tech, I’ve only had one SD card die and it was a Samsung (not its fault, ROG Ally fried it).

I went with the 512GB, you can use the $100 towards a 2TB drive (Micron and WD options for ~$140-150). I already have a 2TB WD drive in mine that I’ll swap over. This does require comfort with disassembly, so some YouTube tutorial watching and a basic ifixit kit as well I guess (you want a pry tool and guitar pick tool at the least).

And you can always get a good matte tempered glass screen protector (generally a pair) for like $10-15 (I got the Jsaux, been great on my OG 64GB deck).
