Damn, if Valve would give me even $250 credit for my old 512 model, I’d trade it in for the OLED version in a heartbeat. Who the hell would buy this used unit when a brand new OLED is actually cheaper and better in almost every way which matters? I’m feeling a little let down but it’s true that I’ve been using it for 18 months now, people who bought this year or even a few months or weeks ago must be feeling as salty as the sea.
No. I can’t even resell my OG Steam Deck for a price that is enough to justify jumping to the OLED version. If they had put in a much better processor I might’ve considered it but I’m happy enough, it’s not perfect but I’ll rather save the money for Steam Deck 2 in two to three years.
