Currently looking at the Odin 2 despite having played my Odin 1 like half a dozen times since I got it and already having an OLED Steam Deck on the way.

It’s the only way to make sure you get the best one.
Don’t forget to also check if your case makes any creaking noise, and check if your buttons rattle more than on your LCD. Also you’re an idiot for getting the etched screen because it’s not as sharp, and you’re an idiot for getting the glossy screen due to annoyingly reflections, so make sure to return it and get whichever one you didn’t buy.
Well if it’s any consolation, spend another day on this sub and you will find out every possible flaw your new OLED one can have so you can look for them all until they drive you crazy and you want your LCD back.
My LE shows up later today so no idea yet. But glad I came to Reddit first so now I can be paranoid about an issue I probably never would have even noticed otherwise. I don’t know why I do this to myself.
Well I wasn’t but will be now that you’ve brought this to my attention, which is made even dumber by the fact that I won’t be home for another week or so anyways even if it showed up tomorrow.
Honestly even in the complaint threads I’m seeing more people reporting theirs are fine than people with dead pixels. Given people are already more likely to report a problem than everything being fine, seems likely that the large majority don’t have issues.
Not that it makes it suck any less of you are unlucky, but at least your odds look pretty good on your RMA being issue-free if you go that route.
