I dunno, I’ve found it to work amazingly… Depending on the game.
Forza horizon 5 runs amazingly on the steam deck despite turning it into a toaster and killing the battery in like an hour.

It made final fantasy 13 run like a shining diamond.

I think the guy’s done a lot of work and it shows and I appreciate it, really made the steam deck something more than it was.

  • Open world.
I just finished ToTk and I think I’m done with open world games with 100+ hours of content.
I’d like the game to end and I’ve grown tired of the endless exploring. Sure it’s fun for the first 20 hours but about 40 in I just want the game to end. This goes for the likes of Fallout, Horizon series and anything like that.

I also just recently finished Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. I loved every second of this game, 100% story driven (minus the puzzles but their not as bad as they get the wrap for) and I completed this game in 6 hours. No back tracking, No finishing random side quests, I got to experience the story as it was meant to be without stopping for 3 hours every time something new comes up. I can’t wait for the second and I hope it sticks to the original formula.

  • Depends. Little bit of tweaking and I just got Sensua to run at 60fps through 95% of the game. Usually YouTube will have someone who’s done the testing to find the best specs.

ProtonDB is your friend and cryobytes does a ton of deep dives on YouTube to get the most out of your games. Got my ff13 running so smooth its crazy
