Sold mine for $200, 64gb LCD, included nothing except the case and charger. It was parents looking for a Christmas gift for their kid.
I know I could get $225-$250 but they were communicative and showed good interest, so I was willing to make a deal, they also drove to me. Pretty good deal for them because my LCD steam deck was in nearly perfect condition.
It’s a massive upgrade, I went from the 64gb LCD (I was rocking a 1tb microSD) to the 1TB OLED LE. This is how the steam deck should have been from day one.
Yeah my signal is also weaker, in my bedroom not even that far from the router (like 20-30 feet) it’s only 2 bars. Standing right next to the router, it’s 3 bars. My LCD steam deck got 4 bars everywhere except sometimes in my bedroom it dropped to 3 bars.
Most laptops have super easy RAM upgrades, just open it up and install a new kit, assuming the ram isn’t soldered. What’s your laptop model?
Windows is smart enough to allocate ram where it needs, but windows 11 is a giant ram hog for no reason. You will get performance drops, stutters, and other issues if you run out of RAM.
If you use your laptop 24/7 and leave it always running then yeah even in a clean environment this would make sense.
I use my laptop occasionally over a few years and there was almost no dust in my fans.
It’s important to vacuum your living space frequently and keep your laptop on a desk. If you have pets, they exponentially increase dust intake. Having this level of dust in one year just points at a high level of dust environment.
I would clean it every 3 months if this is what you gathered over a year. You lost a lot of performance and efficiency overtime, you will gain it back once it’s cleaned though.
It was stock, 64gb was fine because I added a 1TB microSD which surprisingly worked great for games.
