Either the waiter or the gunslinger. But if I’m going anywhere other than just across the room with it, I usually toss it in the case and take the whole case.
I can’t justify the upgrade to the OLED model personally but I do wish they would make that case available separately. I doubt they will though.
My steam deck case didn’t come with the strap and it drives me crazy. It is actually kind of a pain to pick up without it

If your getting the OLED steam deck I’d be really tempted to get “Ori and the will of the wisps” and play through that in there. Already a beautiful game and in the OLED it should look stunning. Also just a super fun game.
The gaming nerd in me really wants the OLED steam deck. But in reality I can’t justify the purchase. For what I use my steam deck for, the current one works perfectly fine. So unless my daughter suddenly takes an interest in wanting a steam deck (in which case I could justify giving mine to her and buying the new one) then I’m probably just going to wait until the next more powerful one comes out several years down the road or whatever.
I’ve never been a PC gamer. I haven’t owned a desktop computer since the early 2000s. And the only laptop that I had was a Chromebook that someone handed down to me. I used it for emulators but that was about it. I wasn’t even much of a console gamer throughout my teens and early 20s. In my mid-20s I started getting into DS and then later 3DS. When the switch came out I bought it within the first 6 months or so. And I’ve been on switch since then. I had been loosely keeping up with handheld PCs prior to the steamed that coming out. But the steam deck was the first one that put everything together in a package and at a price point that made me decide to pull the trigger. I use computers a lot at work so I’m fairly familiar with them. Just never had a large need for one personally.
