1·2 years ago3.5 has left the main (like the most unstable, most frequently updated) channel some while ago. You should be able to safely switch to a preview channel. It has been pretty solid and stable for a while now. + You can completely disable predownloaded shader-caches now… The optimizations they made in the compile pipeline means, there are basically no stutters at all.
If videos don’t work, download a “ProtonUp-Qt” from a discover store and through that download proton GE. (Due to licensing reasons, Valve can’t officially include commercial codecs, so shader caches often contain extra re-encoded videos as well. Proton GE is a community fork with codecs included, so most videos should work with orifinal/“non re-encoded” videos)
