I also had this problem, and was able to get an external SSD to appear in the OLED deck when I connected it through a powered USB hub. Didn’t need to do this with the LCD deck.

I had a similar problem with a 1TB SSD external drive that shows right up when connected to my LCD deck, but wouldn’t show up on the OLED deck.
I ended up connecting the SSD through a powered USB hub and it worked.
It seems the OLED deck isn’t providing enough power on its own to power up the SSD, but the LCD deck did.
Same issue here with a 512gb lcd. The 3.5 bug is very obvious playing Hogwarts Legacy. Switched back to the 3.4 release and GPU clock, audio, and frametimes were normal again. Back to 3.5 and the problems returned.
