Why is there a blank tile at the end of your games?
Anyone else annoyed at how people throw the word “obsolete” around these days?
There is no game that the OLED deck will run that the LCD deck won’t run. Heck, Valve is still keeping the LCD deck as the entry level option.
I have a very strong feeling you’ll just be able to clone/swap out into the OLED. Still, do try to hold out on cloning/swapping until the very last minute and make sure you have the latest system update by then.
As someone who lives in an unsupported country and had to get a steam deck bought by a relative overseas last year in time for their trip here, it certainly doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

the only remaining piece of the puzzle is Valve releasing a fully-compatible SteamOS 3 for other devices. they don’t need to, but i imagine they want it to secure their reach.
Regular SMB sharing. I have my PC’s drives shared on my home network accessible by phones and other PC’s on it, the steam deck is just another device that accesses it and vice versa.
Give it a shot.
The mods really bring it forward as a modern game. 60FPS, HD textures, modern character models… There’s even a voice acting mod.
