Same issue with my OLED, but this only happens with the rpcs3 version installed from EmuDeck.

I have downloaded rpcs3 from the official webstite (linux version) and now the error has gone, firmware installation went as expected and I could even launch a game without any problem.

So, try that if you’re using the emudeck rpcs3 version.
