I’m tired of the color discussion going on around OLED and etched glass. I just wanna know if it’s harder to clean because that matters more to me than either reflections or lower contrast issues.

Those that had the 512GB LCD, what was your experience with cleaning the screen?

You’ll have to scrub a bit harder to get rid of some oily areas but honestly it’s not too bad.

It’s slightly more annoying, I just use eyeglass cleaner with my microfiber and it works perfectly.

I use eye glass spray cleaner and micro fiber cloth. You can find the spray cleaner in any grocery store or CVS. Or Amazon.

I have little 9ne use cleaners for my glasses. They seem to do a good job on the 512 lcd.

In my experience with a microcloth it never gets really 100% clean.

Not a huge issue because I can only see the smudges when the screen is off, but definitely harder to clean than a smooth glossy screen like my phone’s.

I let my 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew play with mine, and they both give the screen a clean with the micro fibre cloth that came with the Steam Deck once they finish playing.

If I’ve used the touch screen myself when playing, I’ll give it a light rub down when I’m done, too.

There are no issues with fingerprints or smudges so far.

zero problems. Ive had it for over a year, I use the same type of cleaning cloths I use for my glasses, laptop, and other things that can get smudges.
