Currently the 64GB version is €369,- which can easy be upgraded to 512GB for not that much more. Is it worth it to buy the €569,- OLED version if my main purpose is emulating? Will be emulating N64 mostly. Thanks for any help :)

I have been waiting weeks and weeks for the 16gb refurbished version to be in stock, today I see it’s finally in stock, and a lower price (was not aware about the whole OLED version announcement)
Guess I shall continue waiting now

Yes, I would say OLED is always worth getting, especially with classic consoles that will add black bars on the sides if you play without frames.

And either way, OLED colors are just better.

I won’t be upgrading my launch deck, but if I were in the market for one now, the OLED is a no brainer choice.

There’s no wrong answer here. The OLED is nice but you pay more for it. The 64 GB “clearance” deal looks really good.

If you’re planning on traveling a lot with it, there is the longer battery life to consider. If that doesn’t benefit you hugely though, or you don’t absolutely want the slightly larger screen, I’d go for the 64GB one.

Might want to have a look at the used market as well, though, I’d imagine a fair amount of decks should start popping up pretty soon.

Is it worth it to pay more? If you have the money go for it. If you need the better battery go for it. If you’re emulating old systems just buy the cheapest option and slap a 512 or 1tb M.2 in the LCD model. It’s really easy. N64 isn’t going to look much better on an OLED.
