Gpu is no different, cpu is more or less the same as well but with slightly better thermals and smaller form factor iirc

Last I checked there is no GPU or CPU, SD has an APU.

The APU is 6nm now instead of 7 and has better thermals and efficiency.

yep, my brain went to standard pc terms. Still no performance benefits in terms of increased power that i know of but you are right

There is some performance boost 3-8% game to game. But it’s due to the faster DDR 5 RAM they sourced.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these memes lately. That’s all well and good but what I don’t understand is, if you don’t care about the OLED version, why do people feel the need to tell that to everyone else? This subreddit has been flooded these posts lately and it makes no sense, so many people claiming they don’t care about the new Deck and yet they keep posting about how much they definitely will not be getting it lol. If you enjoy your original Deck then that’s awesome, but for the rest of us who do plan on getting it let us have some discussion!

For someone who doesn’t have a Steam Deck, the OLED is an absolute win. Y’all enjoy your LCD panels

I already jammed a 1tb in my OG deck. I play it docked to my Tv 90% of the time. I have no reason to get the new one

Agree, why should you get the OLED when the LCD is perfectly fine. It smarter to wait for the Steam Deck 2 instead of the OLED model.

Ditto, was going to go for the 64gb and do the SSD upgrade, glad I waited a little bit longer. Will be getting the 512gb OLED model now…

I can’t believe some people broke their screen intentionally to buy the new Steam Deck.

Same here. The difference for the screen and Batterie is 150€ for 512GB. Not gonna spend that much
