I agree with you, but this is the fault of the news and not on Valve even tho I joke about steam deck coming out way earlier.

Articles nowadays are put together with AI and interviews are not thought well enough to convey a clear message. You still have a good device, if you truly want OLED, you should sell your steam deck and buy the new iteration.

All the sweat and effort put into my steam deck wouldn’t warrant an upgrade for me right now. I’ll most likely give my steam deck away to a family or friend and possibly purchase the OLED in the future. I am not in a rush even tho I could drop money on it right now. Who knows, maybe there will be another refresh next year. With Valve, If they say steam deck 2 in 3 years, I bet it will be in 1.5 years instead. I am not gonna play hot potato.

You got nothing to lose, continue enjoying your deck as if you never heard about the OLED. Then a year from now, buy it when its on sale and you know for sure the OLED has no issues.

The current LCD steam deck is pretty good and has no issues and is still getting updated.

The Newer OLED looks pretty good, but who knows if there are issues down the line. If you truly want the OLED, I would buy it 1 year from now when most of the issues have been ironed out if there were any.
