I was thinking about modding mine to use an external GPU and keeping it docked at my TV. Not sure if it is worth it.
Hard to sell it for $250 when it’s only a month and a half old.
slathering it in astroglide and ramming it all the way up my ass
Keeping it. Maybe I’ll experiment or have it as a backup.
Giving it to a friend who helped me when I really needed it, not expecting nor accepting anything in return
I already shredded my LCD just like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNGz-kO4VYE
I’m probably not upgrading, I want to see how well those panels hold up for a year or so in use, OLED still scares me
using an oled desktop monitor for over a year now without a problem, as far as i’ve seen its pretty hard to get burn in unless you *try* to get it or treat it really badly when it comes to static hard edges for thousands of hours without change lol
Passing down to my fiance or to another family member.
This is the way. My LCD model is now my fiancé’s and she paid $250 on my 1TB LE OLED. She got a 1TB LCD for 250 and I got a 1TB LE OLED for $430. We all win. Considering we already wanted one each. I’m glad we didn’t buy that 2nd one before the OLEDS lol
Dropping mine out of a plane.
Gifting to family member
are people really spending the extra money for a slight upgrade? I’m just going to play the one I have until it no longer suits my purposes at which point I’ll get whatever the newest one is then, hopefully Deck 2.0 or whatever
Wife gets it. She wants one, just not enough to actually buy one.
Now I get to tinker double the amount :P
I’m going to put mine in the bin where that obsolete garbage belongs. I wouldn’t feel right selling it so someone else’s eyes have to bare the pain of the LCD ‘screen’.
It will be my dedicated docked living room Deck from now on. It is going to go into an arcade cabinet at some point but for now it will be loaded with tons of arcade games and multi-player games.
you can sell it to me. In my country are no steam decks available.
I’m going to build a Steam Deck-sized boat with a lil’ pyre on top. With a mash up of “My Heart Will Go On” and “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” blaring, I will send the boat down a foggy river and just as it’s about to vanish from sight I will take aim with a long bow and a flaming arrow.
Long will its legacy live in legend and song.
Probably against my better judgement, but gifting to my kids at Christmas.
