The steamdeck is barely an option if ur looking to play game pass and fortnight. Ally plays those no problem tho.

I don’t care if my colors ‘clip’ or slightly change hue. I’ll take actual color and saturation over a more ‘accurate’ washed out default settings any day of the week. That and contrast. Idgaf about ‘accuracy’, I just want visuals to actually pop and the default values make games look flatter than they should. Keeping the slider turned up.

I got an ally and barely touch my steamdeck now. I fucking hate Linux, dealing with compatibility issues, having to double check that all my games are going to actually launch offline before a trip due to shader download spam preventing launches, the thing randomly not responding out of sleep mode and refusing to turn on, and just generally having to write off 80% of all multiplayer games.

The ally has its quirks but actually playing games on it is far better experience, which is what matters.

The steamdeck battery life increase is great, and really emphasizes it’s main strength over it’s competitors but I’m not paying for a new system for it when the damn thing should have SHIPPED with a properly replaceable battery, not having the fucking thing glued in there so hard that it’s dangerous to attempt to remove.

Monster hunter is meant to be handheld as far as I’m concerned. I mostly play it on the ally but the SD does fine with it too. Started a new playthrough on world and rise recently, going back and forth between the two, playing charge blade on world and gunlance on rise. Part of me wants to fire up generations too and fight some monkeys tho, I really miss the apes

The original SD screen is dogwater. Even compared to other lcd screens it was noticably bad. Maybe those few apologists defending it will finally admit what everyone else knew.
