    Just to add to the noise. Brand new steam deck owner. Updated the OS when it arrived and had nothing but crashes on very basic games. Visual novels were my reason for purchase so I could chill on the couch with them rather than being sat at my desk. Anyways crashing dangranronpa with seconds of launch. Or 10 minutes. Rolled back to 3.4.1 played for over an hour with 0 issue.

    I’ve got a support ticket logged with steam regarding this as I didn’t want to just pin the blame on the OS update should my device be faulty. They’ve suggested I played while it was charging as a test and it was still crashing instantly.

    Anyone know if they fixed the audio randomly cutting out for a couple of seconds while plugged into the official dock?

    This has completely busted external display fps limits for me.

    60=30fps

    30=20fps

    15=12fps

    12=10fps

    10=9fps

    And 40fps is also now 30fps…

    I’m late for everything lol. I literally installed the decky vibrant thing and the power tools 2 days ago and now this update comes out. Are these plugins obsolete now?

    It’s completely screwed docked mode for me, when plugged into my external dell monitor using the office dock the framerate seems to be 30fps now and the mouse feels like it’s swimming through syrup, reverting to the previous version fixes this instantly. Surely I can’t be the only one…

    The most important update is that New World now works with the wireless and I no longer have to tether my phone to launch my character.

    32GB swap, keep the VRAM at 1GB in the bios and it will load high pop towns. I’ve cleared M3’s on the deck, so buttery smooth on low settings. Some stutter loading new players, but also improved.

    Sadly large events such as influence race and turkulon are unplayable. It works, but it slows so much it’s hard to do anything.

    2 years later, I install this update and my 5Ghz WiFi finally works as intended. It would never connect, never stay stable or connected to steam services across multiple routers, multiple access points. Today after this update I can pull 385Mbps for the first time since my day 1 preorder arrived.

    Screen looks awesome now too.

    Is it me or do some games perform worse on this update? I’m specifically experiencing a worse performance with Baldur’s gate 3

    The firmware update for the official dock included in this Steam OS seems to finally have fixed issues with Samsung tvs, it used to give no signal with game mode enabled, which made it pretty much unusable due to high latency without game mode. Works now without any issues.
