The drain is normal. Like, it’s slept, not powered down— that consumes power, albeit less than when the device is totally powered off.

My OLED’s build quality feels perfect, tbh. I love how the new bumpers feel, the sticks are pretty much the same, the triggers are the same or better, and my D-pad is actually quieter- the one on my LCD was super squeaky when pressed sideways. The ABXY buttons on mine don’t really rattle at all either.
I’m a very happy camper with mine.
Do you happen to have the refresh rate/FPS capped in the “…” Quick Menu, under the performance settings?
Yeah, the game does NOT run at a full 60FPS all the time. Nowhere close.
The best you’ll get in intense situations is 40-45 FPS, probably.
Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen is $5 rn, if you don’t own it already.
Trying to purchase a 512GB OLED via Paypal account.
Every time I try, it gives me the initialization error and yet it seems to let me put in normal payment information like a debit card without issues.
Any workarounds? Financing is easier for me.
Deathblade is still at it, lmao
But what if I want one?
Which I do. And I shall acquire.
They’re not going to release a high-powered device because they want to wait until the tech is actually there- tech that allows them to squeeze more power out of lower wattages. That’s the whole point of devices like the Deck and the Switch- getting as much performance as possible out of low-powered hardware.
Another thing that would help Valve release a more powerful Deck sooner is better battery tech, which also isn’t really there yet afaik.
But, until one of these things is achievable, we won’t see a new Deck.
I swapped the 512GB SSD out of the OLED, put my 2TB SSD from my LCD in the OLED, and then sold the LCD on Ebay after cleaning it up a bit.
It sold in an hour for like $200.
