I agree on all points. To my hands, even though I’ve got big lumberjack hands, it’s the perfect size and I don;'t need to squint OR stay further away from the screen ever. A higher resolution display would always mean worse battery life, and the one flaw with the deck as is would be just made worse. If you’ve seen teardowns of it, it will be very difficult to stuff in a much larger cell than it already possesses, and I will never be able to tell a massive difference between 1600p and 800p at that screen size. I agree that a 1080p OLED would be absolutely perfect and anything else would be overkill. Not a huge fan of 16:10 in general, I understand why they did it, but many games have those little black bars and it’sa bit annoying.

AeddGynvael@alien.topBtoSteam Deck•In your opinion, what games (aside from RDR2) have the best natural scenery on the steamdeck?English1·2 years agoAlan Wake 1. On the small screen you barely see any aliasing, if at all, and you can max it out with some tweaks and still have 60, as far as I recall, and it still looks gorgeous. Nighttime especially, but daytime scenes with direct sunlight, too. Nine Parchments runs and looks iust fantastic as well, beautiful vistas.
Same thing here, reached Neuenstein last night and no updates since then. Ordered 20 minutes after release. It’s over.
