  • My problem with windows is all the telemetry bullshit really. Just let me use my damn computer in peace. Trying to force MS accounts down your throat and constant pining back to MS servers to report my every move and sell all my data while pretending not to. I legit have packet captures on my computer and even if you go in and disable it on the registry or through group policy I assure you Windows spies on your shit.

I don’t like it, because like Experian did in the past exposing all your identity, social, addresses, credit card info, etc. Windows leaks can do the same and you’ll be fucked even while they lie and get exposed and only recieve .25 cents from a class action lawsuit and more “windows identity monitoring” service or some shit. With Linux you don’t have to worry about any of that. That said, I do use all major OS’s as theirs pros and cons with all, but if we’re talking what we hate about windows that’s definitely one.

  • IPad will never be a full replacement for a workstation and remoting is definitely more finnicky and often laggy with a ton of security risks you have to worry about than just having a laptop. Not to mention literally everything is better and more capable on the laptop. The screen is gonna suck on the iPad for work being so damn small and you don’t have anywhere near the same feature set.

If you travel especially it’s better to have a dedicated laptop as well since you don’t have to worry about internet at all for many tasks and can actually use it on the move including planes. Everything including the actual OS is better for mobile use. Only exception is maybe drawing, but 95% of folks don’t really do that for a living. I agree with looking into a desktop machine in general if you aren’t traveling though.

  • Not really. Only silly teenage minded folks care about that in the states. There is no social class divide upon most classes. Everyone that has a more developed brain just doesn’t care and globally it doesn’t matter at all really. Apple just kept it for a very specific class, but it would be disingenuous to say it created a social divide as if it affects people socially over most classes classes that aren’t around teenage age.

  • I’m brand agnostic so I’m not really in it it for whatever ecosystem. I just care about each individual device ad if it’s the best for my needs or not. That said, guess it took a year or two? I don’t own most the stuff you said though. Just a couple of apple products for the “ecosystem” I care about.

I find ecosystems to be overrated and other brands have competitive ecosystes or whatevs themselves so I don’t actively pursue that. If apple has best products in enough areas they get my money. Otherwise, I continue having the best experience by buying the best products regardless of brand.

  • Money. Your money.

You wanna know a secret that will probably get me downvoted for the truth? These same folks complaining tend to be the same folks paying and just paying it, but already waay overpaying for crap they don’t need on models they don’t need and vote yes to the prices (with their money) even when they say on reddit or paper they don’t support it. If you say something with your mouth, but then your actions show otherwise no one is gonna give a damn what your mouth is saying. Dolla dolla bills is what matters to em.

These same folks are also the same ones that have paid the extra for decades now. This ain’t new. Why would they change when folks keep paying anyhow? I got a Mac with upgrades, but waited until I found one that had em for actual realistic market rates. I appreciate others for paying the nonsense for me and all, but yeah, as long as they pay they can throw the fit all they want. Won’t change and folks Wil just throw it on a credit card.

  • The only vice that matters is money’s. They don’t care. This is nothing new. This has gone on since Intel days. Apple doesn’t care when folks whine and still spends billions on it anyhow. Guess it was worth it to whoever pays.

If yall think they give damn about this article yall are delusional. Want em to change then stop buying and paying the ridiculous prices. Or don’t and I’ll continue letting you get ripped off while I buy the refurb you let me get for a reasonable price.

  • These third parties just be posting whatever yall wanna hear and yall eat it up. “Apple gonna build a flying saucer at next event to support Martian.” Apple has shown little to no signs of being serious about up to date modern AAA gaming. People try to bring up a porting tool that apple did come up with the original makings of and isn’t even meant for consumers as a reach to grasp anything.

Stop eating it up until they actually show something serious. Bringing in another dev that they pay money for one older game to play on the platform doesn’t say much at all. No man’s, sky isn’t anything to say apple is serious about gaming all around.
