Got the update yesterday and love the new visuals. The new color-options made decky plugin Vibrantdeck obsolete in mine opinion.

GTA4 (a very grey and dull looking game sometimes) looks warmer and sharper, got a cap on 40 FPS so don’t know if fps is boosted after the update.

TMNT shredders Revenge looks also so much better, colors are so much warmer and cleaner.

Feels indeed as a brand new SteamDeck!

I just love mine 1,5 year old LCD Steamdeck, don’t feel any urge to buy the OLED, why should I? I can play my favorite games on the move, on the couch and in bed.

Especially with the new 3.5.5 update the lcd screen is wonderful and more than satisfied with it.

There always be something newer, better or different, for now I stick with my old faithful SteamDeck.

  • The game I sincerely missed on the console was a decent truck simulator as ETS2 or ATS, on console there are only mediocre truck simulators. When I got my SteamDeck I finally could play the real truck sims and i’am having a blast! Hopefully one day SCS will release on console (they mentioned something like that after the game engine is updated).

  • Of course it depends a lot on your taste in games, but if I look at my top 5 based on playing time on the Steam deck:

    1. ETS2
    2. Snowrunner (really fantastic on the Deck) 3.GTA4 4.GTA5 5.RDR2

Based on whether the games appear to be made for the Deck, work without any modifications or problems:

    1. Sleeping Dogs
    2. Hades
    3. Street of Rage 4
    4. Horizon Chase Turbo
    5. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
