Depending on what people desire, the choice is there.
In the long term if SteamOs gets ported to other handheld, Valve will be the winner in term of OS usage and game sales anyway…
even then, the colours don’t look as bright as in previous update
I would argue on one point … If you really use the steamdeck as nomad … the battery gain is a must…

but the beta already works well … the new color options for lcd are really nice :) It is not oled but it better than the stock colors

there is even input lag reductions with latest firmware and you can even undervolt the cpu / GPU with latest bios …
And there is probably still place for improvements …
Sometimes you also get specific games optimizations from the developer of the game or from Valve (ex: Elden Ring)
