I had the same issue and found something that worked. Go into the BIOS and change “USB Dual Role Device” from “DRD” to “XHCI”.

To test: From powered off status, press Vol+ and power, continue to hold Vol+ until you see the selection screen - choose “Setup Utility”. Within the utility go down to “Advanced” > “USB Configuration” > select “XHCI” > then save and exit.

I am guessing this could be fixed on the software side since my old Deck is set to “DRD”, but has no issues mounting devices…someone above my pay grade will need to chime in on the “why”, but my guess is the new chipset behaves differently.

Yes, put the original SSD back. Odds are they will send you a replacement Deck that has already been cleared by their QA team once they receive your Deck. If you send the 512, you’re likely not getting it back.

Death road to Canada has very noticeable crackles from time to time. Hope it’s fixed soon! Audio crackle is the only issue I’ve had on 3.5.

Coming from a 512GB model and the screen is still flawless, so I’ll skip on the screen protector but I am planning to use the Spigen case I currently have.

Sort of defeats the purpose of a translucent shell but at least I’ll enjoy it from the front haha.

Soooo….what’s the issue? You haven’t used a Deck let alone lone haven’t bought something on a Steam account before November and you’re salty about not getting a LE? Try a discounted LCD or base OLED to see if you actually like it first to save some $$.

At time of this comment, there are 3.7K comments on this thread. Even if everyone who commented here got the LE, that’s less than 5K and that would be a very limited run. Either there are a lot of LEs or Valve did a wonderful job at preventing bots from screwing everyone (probably a mix of the two tbh).

I, for one, am glad it was ‘easy’ to get the LE.

What a crazy ride! Shopping cart issues, address issues, CC issues, was told it was OOS (got frustrated and stopped). Tried again about 10 mins later and finally got the 1TB LE ordered.

Going for LE but will likely stick with OG if I cannot get one. I’m a sucker for transparent tech ever since childhood me had the atomic purple GBC.
