  • I’m with you, the big thing for me is USB4 support for eGPUs.

    Once that comes, the iterative upgrades for a Steam Deck are far less frequently required. At the moment the Deck really struggles with performance on AAA titles from the past few years. An eGPU provides the ability to blow this out of the water, but also upgradability.

    So you could buy a Steam Deck, that could easily last you 6/7 years like a console generation, and you just upgrade the eGPU as needed.
