It’s true, really.
It’s true, really.
Clickbait for US-only audiences.
Apple was told by EU to create a link for E2EE messaging and they said “lol no”. Google offered secure integration with RCS, even run their own servers. Apple said “lol no, buy iPhones”.
Pretty much, yes. Canada too, but we have a strong Samsung/Motorola base. Apple really doesn’t make phones very affordable, while Moto/Samsung have devices starting at $200.
Also, teens in the US/Canada get what there parents choose, and that’s most likely a financed carrier deal. Choices are limited.
As for the world, lots of options.
Teens get what their parents buy them. Period, lol.
That’s my thinking, too. Once your personal security is breeched, retrospect and regret take over.
This is the thing. Depending on the security release cycle, people may only be getting security updates every 6 months or yearly, after a while. Some people may be getting the monthly.
The apps however, especially from Banks, are updated to all the time and until that app says it’s not compatible with your version of Android, usually 8-10 years, you should be ok.
System security patch is however do close zero day and other exploits that keep your phone from being hijacked by unknown applications or websites. As long as people aren’t going out of their way to download nefarious software accidentally, it should be fine.
So the same as a Samsung or Pixel, who both get more years of updates than Apple now.
