I’ve used a S22U for over 1.5 years, and have just upgraded to the S23U.
With the right case, the edges are a non issue.
Given it’s such a big phone you need a case that allows you to handle it properly. I use either a strap case or the cases with flip stand that I can use to get a better grip.
It’s definitely not one for someone with small hands lol.

I have no issues at all with any apps. Only hiccup recent was with Spotify kept crashing but that’s an app problem not an OS issue I think.
Just jump to Snapdragon s22/s23 series if you want a note experience. Pay the bit extra to get longer supported OS and security updates.
You’ll get used to life without the headphone jack and SD card lol.
And get a decent tempered screen protector.

I have the a52s 5g and tbh it hasn’t fared well performance wise.
The mid range are fine for the first year or so but you will definitely notice slowdowns as the device gets into the 2nd/3rd year.
I’d personally pay that but extra and get either the entry level s23 or FE series if that’s available.
No point, get a more recent gen one.
You’ll run out of software updates before you run out of storage
Samsung fast charging requires a technology called PPS charging (not PD).
Check your chargers support that as not all aftermarket ones do.
Yup it shouldn’t but I’ve had instances where I’ve needed to increase brightness to get it to register properly.
I’ve just replaced my screen protector and redone my fingerprints again. Works perfectly now, will see for how long lol
I find it generally works much better the brighter the display is.
How have you had it for over two years given it was only released 1 year 8 months ago…
On a serious note, are you using any tempered screen protectors?
Can’t speak for every S22U model out there but I’ve had no overheating issues with mine, and the battery is perfectly fine. Snapdragon model, been using for 18 months
