nvidia probably has an exclusive deal with nintendo, plus they have gfn which is a pricy service that can already be used on everyhandheld
If you have anything as good as a 2060 dont forget you can stream the game from your pc using moonlight and it ll be flawless
Multiplayer portable halo with all the maps of the golden age. Fuck yeah
Have you looked for a smaller case ? The og one is really big, i picked one from tomtoc and i can easily put the deck in a backpack now. Though og case can be slotted into a suitcase using the wrap, so thats a plus
downsizing isnt the problem here my man. maybe you’re just already in a relaxed position when playing on pc, so you don’t really need a deck or any small console really.
what i did for the size is pick up a smaller case for it, definitely helped in picking it up more when i’m going out
confirmed that just swapping the SSDs work, it’s what i’m planning to do myself. if it wasnt this easy i definitely wouldn’t have wanted one. My UI and game arts are so neatly arranged, plus all the zillion emulation settings already done … glad they though of us …
it’s been just fine. flash deal, 4€ adapter with ac power through usb c, even usb slots if i ever want to plug mk
it’s the hopday usb c 6 in 1, for 4€ i think it’s fair, working with no problems and was actually useful on a travel in an airbnb
the screen is enough. better battery is a welcome plus, the few grams less on the oled are also better for my wrist. i think this is enough for me, because if i ever need to play a big game i just stream it from my pc or xcloud, if i’m on the go i’ll usually pick a smaller game or emulated game for battery. God of war 2 at 60fps 1080p can run for 7h50min on the oled, which is incredible
if you’re going to be streaming most of the times just pick the oled : bigger battery, nicer screen, longer cable. moonlight is pretty easy to set up
Its not marginal at all, oled vs lcd is a huge upgrade, try to see a regular switch and oled one side to side
I stand for my aussie brothers. They re missing out on the best console ever made
you can use xcloud at home if you have gigabit internet it should run flawless. In this case your save automatically carries over on xcloud, you don’t have to buy the game again, you just start it on xcloud and it resumes where you were on your xbox save. lag is pretty much imperceptible, if you have the ability to play the game at 60fps always pick it, it makes the lag almost non existent ( i play gta online like this and its great)
cant talk for hotspots, only use streaming at home with 2GB internet speed
with xcloud you can also acess all the gamepass games on your steamdeck, but you need internet to play them.
if you have crap internet i wouldn’t rely on xcloud at all tbh.
wear your best suit, pour out a wine for your older deck and get your cc ready
it already feels bad as a year old owner, but i think this update is worth it. I love the product, use it daily, and can afford the steamdeck oled. so i’m definitely getting one
i’ve used mine so much during the year of ownership, it’s my favorite console ever. I’ve seen firsthand the difference oled makes on switch models, it felt like a generational leap despite switch keeping that same old hardware. I remember being shocked by how good the switch looked, coming from pc, i definitely didnt expect it to be that good. Since people like Taki confirmed the oled on SD is as good if not the same as the one on the switch oled, bro we’re in for a fat treat
now you put the single best thing about switch( to me it’s the oled screen ) and add it to the best console ever? i’m in bro, and i say this as a person who owned both the series X and PS5 and ended up selling both and only keeping my pc and switch oled, which then got replaced itself by current steamdeck.
Midnight club 2 if you manage to find the game
