  • I’m in the same boat as you mate. I’m in Chile and since the release 2 years ago I’m dying to buy a Deck, but seems Valve just don’t want my money.

I decided to wait until august 2024, if by then there is still an official latin american release, I’m going to take the expensive route and by one on amazon, which have a good side: I can pay it up to 3 payments or pay it full with my credit card and pay the credit card up to 12 payments. I won’t lie: it’s going to be a risky move, because if something goes wrong, I’ll have to pay to send it back for warranty, and that could be as much as 200 USD, but I think the Deck is worth the risk.

DON’T go for the Ally. It may seems like a better handheld but it’s NOT. You shouldn’t base your gaming experience only on raw power. What Valve has done with the Deck is something unique that can NOT be replicated by the Ally, the Legion Go, or any other handheld PC. Steam OS is in constant update so it only gets better and better over time…

  • This is a joke right?

Increased battery life between 1 and 3 hours
    WiFi 6
    Faster RAM
    90 Hz screen refresh rate
    30 grams lighter
    OLED screen
DOUBLE space for the same price
BT 5.3 (with dedicated channel for it)
    Smaller die size
    Better screws

After watching the Gamers Nexus tear down video:

    Better airflow
    Better thermals
    Better trackpads
    Quieter
Reduced frecuency from 4 KHz to 2 KHz
Better charging circuitry (cooler, more reliable)
    SAME cost!

Nintendo should take notice: THIS is how you do a hardware fresh!
