I usually have the bottom resting on my desk
To play handheld. That’s it really

Remote play for me is just a pixelated blob even on my 5GHz network. Maybe I should try moonlight to see if it works any better
Ever since they switched to choice, the bundles have been mostly trash
Wouldn’t worry about it, and if it happens you can replace them
For me, docking is pointless as I have a desktop. I’ve considered getting one just for when I want to set stuff up that involves m+kb
Steam deck cannot achieve that on any modern AAA game.
The 64GB model should honestly be treated as a barebones option where you are expected to swap the drive
Storage swap will work. They will also download to the new deck faster if you have both connected to the same network (and still have the games installed on the old one)
with an emulator and either dumping game carts or piracy. Google it, my friend
Don’t know why, but yes, it’s not as bad on a small screen. I can not play 30fps on a monitor or tv. On my switch and deck, though, it’s perfectly fine (fine, not great).
If your budget is tight, you can do everything the deck would do on your laptop (besides playing handheld).
If you really want one though, I’d say grab a 64gb secondhand for dirt cheap, and then swap the ssd.
also, to note, you could always place the laptop on a coffee table or something at the couch and use a controller
Yes, for sure. Anyone within the return window or hasn’t bought yet, the OLED is a no-brainer. Those who’ve had it for a while, I don’t think it’s worth selling to buy the OLED.
I love the 8BitDo ultimate
Not worth it to me. Gonna keep running my steam deck just like I’m still running my V1 switch
64GB and install a new SSD. If you aren’t comfortable with that, then the 256GB one.
2 reasons. First It’s the cheapest, and second, it has the widest adoption and likely longest expected support life
