If you’re like 16 or 18 years old or something and live in the developed world, at least know that there will probably eventually be a time when a device that costs $400-680 is not going to necessitate a financial recovery in your life. Doesn’t help when you’re young and you don’t have money, but it probably won’t always be like that.
I mean… so basically, “OMG Gaben is so mean to me he made me this really great device that is priced ridiculously low and it was a good deal when I bought it and then he went and made it even better without telling me he would?”
How do we live in a world where this is what we complain about instead of saying other companies should do what Valve did?

I mean, I want to see a future RDNA be huge. AMD needs to make progress in dedicated RT/AI cores and in the machine learning tech for gaming. But it’s a leap to think that the company that powers both major consoles will just go extinct in the PC space - especially when there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the current GPUs - just they don’t have a big enough generational uplift and the launch prices were wrong.
When they say “open box” they just really are not kidding. /s
