I’ve seen it recommended to help with aim in FPS but I’m currently struggling in that regard. What else you guys using it for?

I used gyro to land my shots in Tomb Raider 2013. I never liked gyro but for Tomb Raider it clicked for me. 🙃

I use it in FPS games for accurate aiming especially if the item I am shooting at is hard to see or far away; and if I am in panic mode from all the enemies, I start swinging my arms around like a madman to aim faster.

    Fine motor control when aiming.

Analog sticks for big sweeping motions, flicks, then gyro for small adjustments.

I made it turn on while holding R4 and use it for camera movement while walking around and pressing other buttons at the same time in games. Let’s say you wanna sprint jump forward and turn in Minecraft: Leftstick Up, A, R4 and rotate a lil bit

A+Right Pad/Stick is uncomfortable for me

Yep. Currently playing DOOM 2016 by flicking the stick for big (60°+) movements, and gyro for instinctually taking fast shots within my current field of view.

It’s very fast and satisfying, and in the case of DOOM 2016, at 90fps, it feels amazing. Hard to believe it’s even possible on a handheld.

Played 50 hours of GTA4 this way too, as well as some other shooters.

I know there are a lot of trackpad bros out there, but imo, this is the most fun way to play shooters on the Deck. Trackpad is great for strategy games, like Civ.

What settings you running for Doom to get it running at 90 FPS? I’ve held off downloading any of my AAA games so far, because I assumed I’d either have to drop settings too much, or accept sub-60 FPS.

Had to turn it off while playing ratchet and Clank rift apart because it just prevented me from aiming at anything other than the floor. Might just be a game incompatibility, or maybe I need to adjust a setting somewhere. Haven’t tried for anything else because I just got the deck

For nothing. Do you use every feature/app on your cell phone? It’s a nice feature for some and bloatware for others.

The settings yaw and roll can make Gyro feel weird. Try using only one/both and see if that feels better.

Why’s it not clicking for you?

No, I’m tilting the device slightly to aim. To an outside perspective, it would look like to them as if you’re not moving the Deck at all.

Maybe you need to crank up that Gyro sensitivity, lol.
