Did you try changing the control config for Desktop Mode? Maybe that’ll make the Trackpads feel better.
I heard of some people sandpapering down the outer edge that the button gets stuck on. Maybe that could be an option for you?? User beware, though.
Those movies are probably too old that Valve didn’t consider them in the UI creation of Gaming Mode. Though, that’s just my guess.
Maybe open up an issue on their github page? Maybe they’ll fix it.
No, I’m tilting the device slightly to aim. To an outside perspective, it would look like to them as if you’re not moving the Deck at all.
Maybe you need to crank up that Gyro sensitivity, lol.
The settings yaw and roll can make Gyro feel weird. Try using only one/both and see if that feels better.
Why’s it not clicking for you?
“Other” are files you have on your Desktop. Did you download anything in Desktop Mode? Time to delete those files! Trash bin, maybe?
If you want to know what your controls are in Desktop Mode. The Desktop Configuration is both in Gaming/Desktop Mode in Steam’s Settings Menu.
You can use Remote Play Together. Though the game needs to support it.
Does this happen to some games or all of them? Have you tried relaunching after it failed the first time? This “bug” happens to me too sometimes, but relaunching the game fixes the issue.
Otherwise, that’s really odd and not normal. I wonder what would cause your issue.
Does it do this click in other games? Did you accidentally enable a click on an Outer Ring binding?
Honestly, the Steam Deck is barely hitting stable 30fps in AAA games that came out this year. 3-4 years from now on? Nah, future’s looking dim, buddy.
Is the sub getting bombarded with troll posts?
PSA: Valve’s Official Config has the Left Stick set to a Gamepad Stick. The rest of the controls are bound through Keyboard Controls, though.
To fix this: select Dpad for Left Stick! It’s already pre-configured for you. You should be able to move then.
The new Steam Deck OLED is OLED and supports HDR :/
I don’t understand why Valve is so obsessed with forcing a matte anti-glare screen on us. Most people don’t care about the anti-glare screen. And now with the OLED refresh, the SD screen is just going to look worse with the “high-end model screen”.
Most people just get the high-end model for the storage space. But if you want the extra space (which you need as gamer), you have to choose between sacrificing image quality or taking your Deck apart for an SSD swap. It’s mind boggling.
Oh yeah, that’d be great wish Valve did that. Maybe someone can reach out to them on Twitter?
Did you follow a guide on how to uninstall Emudeck? Maybe you did something wrong.
How to uninstall: Inside Emudeck at the bottom should be an option called “Uninstall”. Click on that and it should uninstall.
If that doesn’t work go to this link: https://github.com/dragoonDorise/EmuDeck/blob/main/uninstall.sh And download the “uninstall.sh”. This is Emudeck’s github.
In Desktop mode: drag the file from your Downloads folder to your Desktop. Double-click it. This script should ask you what you want to uninstall, type Y or N to anything that applies. Done.
What you downloaded previously was a script that installed Emudeck. This script here just uninstalls it. I don’t know if you know what sh script are in Linux. But you probably don’t care about me explaining it to you right now.
If that doesn’t fix it, let me know.
(How did you try to uninstall Emudeck before? Did you just delete the Desktop icon or something?)
