I mean RDNA 4 is pretty good so not sure what an article like this is trying to say. Yeah Nvidia definitely has the leg up when it comes to features and when it comes to pure good ol rasterization their cards kinda kick ass. I am saying all this as a 4090 owner to boot. If all I needed was gaming performance the 7900XTX would have been the way to go.

AMD will definitely still be here in the GPU market for years to come.

Problem really is software. DLSS is simply better and the way it’s been designed, it will continuously to improve at a rate far better than FSR. And so far it’s been a trend where Nvidia announce a big feature release with each generational leap. What’s worrying is at what point do majority of the consumer get fed up with this cat and mouse chase where AMD just try to compete by coming with their own worse competitive solutions many months later which tries to brute force and make it available to as many people? It’s good PR, but if you’re buying a new GPU, there is little incentive to even get AMD and the premium starts to become very justifiable. AMD will never win and the gap will only start to widen as Nvidia manages to monetize their features far better and drag AMD along to whatever their vision for the industry is.

How do you know? RDNA4 is 2024 and will have no high-end GPUs.

4090 easily beats 7900XTX in rasterization as well. Unless you cherrypick games. 4090 is like 25% faster on average. 4080 performs the same and 4080 Ti is coming soon.

No matter how much lip service AMD graphics cards get, the harsh reality is that they barely sell. Check out the Steam hardware surveys, the number of AMD card users is utterly dwarfed by Nvidia users.

I don’t think AMD will be happy with these kinds of sales just because people like their performance per dollar value compared to Nvidias.
