I find it comfortable. I actually own the switch and the steam deck. The large size worried me before I purchased it, but honestly, I find it far more comfortable for longer gaming sessions than the switch. The grips on the back are fantastic, and with the killswitch case on it, it’s even better.

Man I’m so shitty I even bought the 64gb model 4 weeks ago. I’m tired of seeing shit about OLED it just makes me sad lmfao

Finally, a post that is addressing why people are actually heated. I do not magically think my steam deck is now awful because a better one is out. It’s still a great device. What I am upset about, is that I purchased mine 28 days ago. I paid for a 512gb model at the price point that now buys an upgrade version with twice the memory, better battery, better refresh rate, better screen. 28 days ago it was a $600 product and now it’s worth like $400. Usually companies announce a refresh at a MINIMUM a month or so before release. What they did, was clearly trying to sell off as many of the OG units that are now worth very little to make more profit off uniformed consumers. If I had actually been informed, which is just good consumer practice, I would have waited. They really made people feel a bit taken advantage of. Even greedy companies like Microsoft and Sony give a heads up. Their intentions are obvious, and anyone who says “that’s just how businesses work” are valve bootlickers.

That’s pretty backwards. You wouldn’t want a hardware update? Wtf? That’s worth way more than a screen.

Even if I sell my steam deck, I’ll have to shell out another $200 or so to upgrade. Are the upgrades great, yes, is it $200 more great? Not in my opinion unless you’re loaded. I gave this a lot of thought today, I even listed my deck for sale but I took it off just a bit ago. If I upgrade now in 2 years they’ll release the deck 2 and I’ll feel just as stupid. Yeah it sucks I bought an OG steam deck only two months before this, but it is what it is. Idc about OLED as much as the new battery, OLED and 90hz is great, but I was thinking, what games do I even play that will reach 90hz? Almost none. Maybe hl2 and old source games? Idk. Not worth it.
