Are you like missing a Wi-Fi antenna lmao
The Wi-Fi works better than the LCD models thanks to the upgraded Wi-Fi module.

No, the game can’t even reach a consistent 40
Sold mine irl to my best friend for $300, 512gb model.
Some time to actually play them all
If you already have a killer PC and are interested in handheld play only you should grab the 512gb OLED model for that amazing screen. Steam Deck is best in class ergonomics too.
I think Digital Foundry’s OLED videos mentioned what you’re talking about in more detail than I can pretend to type out. I would start with their recent OLED videos.
I don’t have an in depth answer but I wanted to let you know that Mass Effect Legendary Edition also does not properly support HDR on the Deck (the option in game is greyed out).
I recommend just getting one RPG at a time, this is how the infinite Steam library begins
Is this where I can ask or recommend all of the best games to show off the OLED/HDR for the newest Steam Deck model? Some things to recommend:
Resident Evil 7, 8, 2, 3, 4
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Tetris Effect (HDR not working currently)
Mass Effect Legendary Edition (HDR not working currently)
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
I did play a very small amount of Majora’s Mask 3D with the Project Zora Restoration Patch on the dock, but switched back pretty quickly because the buttons to switch between the top and bottom screen and such were mapped to the back buttons of the Deck. Otherwise it worked pretty fine, I just didn’t configure it much for TV play outside of that.
I’m playing my Switch
Thanks for making me look, I moved to “packaged items” between yesterday and today! I think this means I’ll get it by Thanksgiving and I’m so excited for it.
Taking it out back to Old Yeller it
No ma, it’s my Deck
OLED on its own is a massive update, especially if you play handheld only. Add 90hz and HDR and we’ve got ourselves some beautiful eye candy to look forward to! That said if the OLED is not an incentive for you, there’s no real reason to upgrade.
Is that the removable liner mentioned in the 1TB model?
I’m selling my old one to a friend for cheaper than Valve’s new pricing and upgrading for a bit out of pocket. Plenty of ways to upgrade or straight up get the new one :)
The only thing I routinely do is to make an in game save before pressing sleep if I’ve made significant progress just in case something goes wrong. I do that on the Switch too though, ever since the launch of that system. Otherwise? Hell nah it’s an advertised feature and the main reason I got one.
