Press Steam -> Settings -> Display Settings and you’ll find some HDR settings, including an overlay. That is where you would disable this.
This is why I love the Steam Deck. Glorious PC gaming experiences from the cheapest refurbished models all the way to the needlessly modded models to the pointless limited edition release. It is all glorious.

It’ll be a while but I believe this edition will eventually have a bit of prestige to it. But that’s in, 15-20 years. Like the people paying too much for a Duke Xbox controller.
I never liked using the touch screen on my switch nor deck. Hate the fingerprints. My use on the deck wouldn’t change without it.
This is essentially the Xbox One S all over again.
I think with the release of Zen 4c we will start to see the future path for Steam Deck 2, especially with its efficiency at low TDPs. What we need now is efficient GPU cores that can get a 1.5-2x performance boost to make a Steam Deck 2 worth it.
I just checked mine and I have 3 dead green pixels. Almost in a perfect diagonal from the top left, middle, and bottom right of the screen.
