Picture perfect LE! Haven’t checked what display mine is. From what I saw I’m almost guaranteed a BOE display.
Ya without the thumb grips the sticks are some of the worst I’ve ever used. Almost as bad as the N64 stick.
The sticks are practically unusable without thumb grips imo. Way too slippery and uncomfortable.
My deck has a right stick that clicks (not R3 button) and a right trigger that used to click (not haptic feedback). When I opened up the deck a piece of the plastic housing somehow broke around the trigger (never dropped my deck). So Valve also has some QC issues.
Valve not pick horrible backlight bleeding LCD panels for their products (Index and Deck) impossible challenge
Surprised they are showing Elden Ring since blacks usually look blue/green because of the awfully strong post processing filters. Starfield has the same problem
Variety is the spice of life!
Still processing… But my order didn’t go through until 1:45 eastern. Damn shipping page bug and PayPal not going through. What a awful shopping experience. Even getting a Valve Index during covid was somehow easier.
I mean this should have been in ages ago… We’ve had to use a decky plugin for this lol
I found it interesting that they mentioned how long it took them to set up the Ally. Despite the deck being a gaming device first it took a TON of set up. Probably 3x the time OP spent since there’s decky plugins (each plugin with their own set up), cryo utilities, emulators to set up (even with Emu deck it takes an insane amount of time to set up), troubleshooting with the different proton versions to get it to work with games etc. As someone who loves tech tinkering it was an enjoyable experience but I still wouldn’t recommend the deck to a lot of people.
The dpad and sticks are also quite bad.
So why this over Heroic that has Amazon, GOG and Epic?
